Additions to Procedures

The GMA-USA nomination and entry process is designed to ensure fairness and transparency across all categories. Below you'll find the detailed procedures for both US-based and Ghana-based categories.

USA Categories

Nomination Entry

• The US categories are open to artistes that file for nominations. Refusal to file for nomination automatically bars any form of participation in the nomination process for any artiste.
• Open to songs and/or personalities that made the most impact on the US market during the eligibility year.
• Artistes must submit supporting evidence including song release dates, links to performances, and lists of shows/events attended during the eligibility period.
• All submissions must be made through the official nomination form.

Ghana Categories

Nomination Entry

• The Ghana categories are open to artistes that are captured by the Research Team to have met the set criteria for entering into the nominations.
• Artistes do not necessarily have to file for nominations before participating in the nomination process of the scheme.
• Open to songs and/or personalities that made the most impact on the Ghana market during the eligibility year.
• The Research Team actively monitors the Ghanaian music industry to identify qualifying artistes and works.

Eligibility

Who Can Enter?

• All Ghanaian artistes, whether based in the United States or Ghana, are eligible.
• Songs, albums, and performances must have been released or occurred during the eligibility period (January 1 — December 31 of the preceding year).
• Artistes may be nominated in multiple categories if they meet the criteria for each.
• Previous winners are eligible for re-nomination in subsequent years.
