The US Based Discovery Act of the Year is the artiste(s) adjudged by the academy, board and the general public as the most promising and talented emerging artiste(s). The award goes to a relatively upcoming artiste(s) who is yet to be recognized in the main stream and have released a single/album or conducted a tour that made a huge presence during the year under review.

US Based African Act of the Year is the artiste adjudged by the academy, board and the general public as the NonGhanaian born artiste from other African Countries with the highest audience appeal in the United states of America and notable in the creation of cross music genres that combines African musical styles. The artiste must have released a single or album.

US Based Female Artiste of the Year:

The US Based Female Artiste of the Year is the female gender artiste(s) adjudged by the academy, board and the general public as the artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity. The artiste(s) must have released a hit single/album or toured during the year under review.

US Based Male Artiste of the Year:

The US Based Male Artiste of the Year is the male gender artiste(s) adjudged by the academy, board and the general public as the artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity. The artiste(s) must have released a hit single/album or toured during the year under review

Best US Based Afro Pop Artiste:

The Best US Based Afro-pop Artiste of the Year is the artiste adjudged by the academy, board and the general public as the most popular artiste that has a cross pollination of music genres. The artist must have generated the most excitement during the year under review.

US Based Best Gospel Song of the Year:

The Best US Based Gospel Song of the Year is the song adjudged by the academy, board and the general public as the most popular song with heavy airplay during the year under review. The song must have generated huge excitement in the Christian community and social gatherings around the United States.

US Based Gospel Artiste of the Year:

The Best US Based Gospel Artiste of the Year is the artiste adjudged by the board, academy and the general public as the Ghanaian born artiste with the highest audience appeal in and around the United States during the year under review with a heavy stage presence and craft. The artiste must have released a single or an album under the year in review and must strictly be based in the US.

US Based Best Male Vocalist of the Year:

The Best Male Vocalist is adjudged by the public, academy and board as the male artiste (solo) with the best vocal delivery/performance on any musical presentation which was released during the year under review.

The Afro Pop Song of the Year is the song adjudged by the academy, board and the general public as having the highest audience appeal and most popular in the Afro Pop genre. The song must have been released and generated the most excitement during the year.

The US Based Best Rapper of the Year is the artiste adjudged by the board, academy and the general public as the rap artiste with the best words compositions and creations and generated a high audience appeal with a single or album release or toured internationally during the year in contention. Artiste must be based in the USA at the time of filing for nomination

The Most Popular US Based Artiste of the year is the Artiste adjudged solely by the general public as the most popular Artiste in the year under review; the artiste must have enjoyed a lot of patronage and airplay, social media presence, performances and generated the most excitement during the year.

The Producer / Engineer of the Year is the producer(s) directly responsible for the production of the Most popular song of the year in the USA. The sound engineer of the year is adjudged by the academy, board and the general public as the sound engineer(s) directly responsible for the recording, mixing and technical production of the song/album adjudged as the record of the year.

Artiste must have released a hit single or album and toured locally and internationally for shows and cooperate events during the year under review. Artiste must have huge social media trends with cut of point of not less than 10million views and streams on all social media platforms.
